What is ecofreNZ ? What’s it about ?

ecofreNZ is an online shop that stocks a growing range of eco-friendly products - laundry products; household cleaning products; health, beauty and skin care products; products for babies and for their Mums.  There’s also a Pet section and one for the Blokes too! - in fact, if you subscribe to ‘Chatting’, our ecofreNZ newsletter, we’ll let you know as soon as we make changes to our shop

We know that it’s not easy and it’s sometimes very expensive to buy products that are not going to damage our environment. So we want to provide one place for you to be able to buy value for money, planet friendly and people friendly products.

Fiona & Hugh (the owners and directors) have a pretty strict criteria for what we put into our shop. Our products need to be:

• clean, green and eco-friendly - friendly to people, pets and the planet;
• value for money - similar in price to other products that do the same or a similar job

If any product doesn’t fit the criteria, we don’t want it - it’s just that simple!

We believe that most people would like to live and work in a way that doesn’t damage us or our environment - we certainly would. As we shop, we look along the aisle at the supermarket, and we see many products that say they’re ‘eco-friendly’ but they’re just so much more expensive than the commonly used products. We’re all watching our money - after all, we work hard for it, and it has to ‘stretch’ a long way most of the time - so we often find ourselves making choices based on cost, when we’d rather make that choice on the product itself. 

So, if you could buy products to clean your home, your clothes, your family and even your pets, that is non-toxic, non-damaging (to us and the environment in general), but costs the same or reasonably close to it as the more commonly used products, would you buy them??
